Abstract
Background:Complete basic immunization serves as an essential strategy in public health to protect infants from infectious diseases. Despite its importance, several regions still report coverage rates below the established national targets. Various factors originating from mothers, families, and healthcare services are suspected to affect the delivery of complete basic immunizations. Aim : The principal aim of this research was to investigate the various elements linked to the delivery of full basic vaccination regimens for infants receiving care at the Sumber Community Health Center. Methods : A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed in this research. The study population included all mothers with infants aged 12-23 months who met the inclusion criteria. A total sampling technique was applied to recruit participants. To gather the required data, we administered structured surveys that explored maternal backgrounds, perceptions toward vaccination, the extent of familial encouragement, and the nature of local healthcare provisions. The analytical procedure commenced with basic pairwise correlation tests, after which we applied a multivariate logistic modeling strategy to pinpoint the variable exerting the greatest influence. Results : According to the study's results, there was a statistically meaningful connection between the successful completion of the basic vaccination series and three specific variables: the mothers' chronological age, their formal educational background, and the encouragement provided by their relatives. In contrast, the women's employment status, their comprehension of vaccine-related information, and the characteristics of the local healthcare delivery did not exhibit any appreciable statistical ties. When subjected to the multivariable regression procedure, the age of the mother emerged as the single strongest predictor influencing whether the full vaccine regimen was ultimately finished. Conclusion The successful fulfillment of the primary childhood vaccine series is largely contingent upon two core elements: the mother's personal profile and the degree of backing she receives from her household. Consequently, to elevate the overall participation rates, policymakers should prioritize the expansion of community health messaging, work to instill favorable perceptions regarding vaccination among mothers, and make certain that relatives are consistently engaged as collaborative partners throughout the vaccination schedule.
